POSITION SUMMARY Nor West Co-op Community Health is seeking a dynamic and strategic DIRECTOR/FUNDRAISER for the Nor West Community Food Centre (CFC). This is an exciting partnership between Nor West and Community Food Centres Canada (CFCC) with the Food Centre offering meal programs, cooking, gardening, farming and advocacy programs that improve access to healthy food in a way that maintains dignity and builds community. The successful candidate will be a proven leader who has demonstrated abilities in partnership development and collaboration with a passion for food and social justice, fundraising, communications and project management. They will be flexible, creative, entrepreneurial, and committed to creating impact for the community while building a co-operative team culture. This position oversees a busy program with approximately 5-6 staff, multiple volunteers, an annual budget of $800,000+, and fundraising support. QUALIFICATIONS Experience in various aspects of fundraising, and donor stewardship. Experience with communications, media, public speaking. 5+ years experience in a program coordination role in social services or community food security program setting with 2+ years in a leadership role. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, Master’s preferred. Demonstrated human resources, community development, and leadership development experience. Successful program planning and evaluation experience. Experience supervising staff and volunteers. Demonstrated commitment to social justice, poverty reduction and food security. Experience working in low-income, diverse and marginalized communities. Experience working as part of an inter-professional leadership team. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
