Townsen Memorial is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse to work in Pre-admissions testing (PAT) to join our team! The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in nursing practice and be proficient in patient education. RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitors the patient's medical condition and reports any significant changes to the admitting physician or anesthesiologist Assures surgical consent, pre-operative test results and History and Physical are in the medical record prior to proposed procedure Reports any important health history facts to the operating room nurse Gives patients and family members emotional support as necessary Implements doctor's orders in a timely and accurate manner REQUIREMENTS: Nursing care for the pre-operative patient Operation of vital sign monitors Assessment skills Active TX RN License, BLS, ACLS Bilingual in Spanish (Required) BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401k with employer contribution PTO WORK WEEK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM ABOUT US: Our facility is subject to the CMS vaccine mandate.
