The buyer is responsible for purchasing all materials required for PCI jobs.Essential duties include: Issuing purchase orders. Ordering items contained on the bill of materials. Identifying and long lead items that compromise the production schedule and notifying the Purchasing Manager. Working with the Purchasing Manager to resolve vendor and departmental issues. Working with the Purchasing Manager to obtain the best price from out vendors and finding new vendors. Qualified applicants will possess: A high school diploma or GED is required. A bachelor's degree in a related area of study is preferred. 5 years of professional purchasing experience. High attention to detail. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Experience with Great Plains is preferred.
