Position Purpose: Our customers trust LBC with the storage of their products and the timely delivery to their customers. Reliable information and digital solutions are a key enabler for LBC to live up to this trust. A high-quality, future proof and secure IT Infrastructure platform is therefore essential. The system engineer plays a vital role in keeping LBC's IT infrastructure up to high standards. They are responsible to manage LBC's IT infrastructure to ensure its reliability, availability & performance. They also contribute actively to the security level of LBC's infrastructure by monitoring, assessing, and implementing security controls in line with chosen security frameworks. The system engineer leads IT maintenance & improvement projects and can represent IT in US business projects. They work closely with the Global IT organization, US business stakeholders and forms a technical partnership with the senior system engineer in EU to ensure global alignment and knowledge sharing. Primary Responsibilities : Takes ownership of the IT server Infrastructure (procure/install/configure & maintain) Proactively monitors our server infrastructure to ensure maximum availability & reliability & performance of our systems. Takes the lead in IT (technical) projects from start to finish and works with US stakeholders. Assists the service desk engineers in resolution of workplace related issues. Owns the overall designs & documentation of the physical and virtual IT Infrastructure Improve the cybersecurity maturity at LBC by monitoring, assessing, and optimizing existing cybersecurity controls and the implementation of new controls.
