Duties/Responsibilities: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the prompt monthly closing of all entities and/or business lines assigned; the preparation of the financial statement package; analysis of profit and loss accounts as well as balance sheet accounts; and the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts. This position will work directly with the Accounts Payable Supervisor and Revenue Cycle Supervisor to ensure prompt monthly processing as well as accurate and timely financial accruals. The position will also assist with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts. Prepare manual general journal entries, adjusting journal entries, and review automated journal entries. Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations as well as facilitate the resolution of issues of General Ledger reconciliations. Work directly with the Revenue Cycle Supervisor to prepare the deferred revenue calculation. Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly financial results; including but not limited to monthly balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements. Responsible for the monthly P&L variance analysis (actual to budget; actual to forecast) and explains major fluctuations for all business lines/entities. Responsible for the monthly Balance Sheet variance analysis (CM to PM; CY to PY) and explains major fluctuations for all entities. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Responsible for all commission calculations. Assist in the researching and interpreting of new accounting policies and implementing new guidance. Maintain internal controls and assist in the updating of accounting policies and procedures. Maintain an organized chart of accounts. Assist in annual external audits; prepare schedules and other required items. Identify process deficiencies in the month end close process and implement changes to improve processes. Communicate all activities to the Controller. Maintain immaculate records. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting required. CPA preferred. Intacct SaaS experience preferred. Minimum 5 years accounting, finance, month end close, and/or financial reporting experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion with regards to payroll data, customer data, and financial data. Ability to work accurately under time constraints. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
