A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BASEMENT DIG AND BACKFILL CONSTRUCTION LABORER In this general labor position, you work on-site and tackle a variety of daily tasks, including digging basements, backfilling basements, site cleanup, and assisting with heavy equipment operation. You safely operate a compactor and hold the grade rod to ensure everything is level. You also work on connecting sewer, water, and power systems. A true team player, you work alongside your talented team, taking direction from your crew leaders and always maintaining a safe work environment.
