JOB SUMMARY The Executive Business Manager is responsible for overseeing business operations across departments. Their duties include supporting executive business partners such as CEO, COO, VP of HR, VP of Commercial Strategy, VP of BD, VP of IT, and VP of Finance. The Executive Business Manager will coordinate projects, work and duties in collaboration with the executive team to achieve company objectives and drive profits. The Business Manager will specialize in project management, analysis of KPI's and the performance of the portfolio, and organizing work flow to support the executive team in effective ways to execute on company objectives and key initiatives to ensure success of the organization. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Participates on the Executive Leadership Team to support portfolio-wide goals and effective strategies to accomplish company objectives. Works with the Executive team to recommend innovative and effective programs and processes to support the fundamentals in operations across the portfolio. Leading assigned work teams to support project management of company initiatives. Planning, implementing and generating workflow to achieve the company's goals. Mediating and resolving disputes and conflicts that may arise among work groups and associates. Training and on-boarding new workers as assigned to support the corporate team. Running reports and completing analytics of KPI's to support corporate team and portfolio performance. This includes but not limited to analysis of metrics such as GSS, STR, Pace reports, P&L, Capex, and sales activities. Contract and Capital Expenditure process administration. ProfitSword Reporting and user administration. Evaluates and identifies opportunities to improve portfolio performance and achieve company objectives. Audits key assigned work, presentations, written communication to ensure accuracy and in brand voice. Assessing leaders and associates regularly to identify and curb difficulties or challenges in work. Presenting reports to owners, corporate leaders, and partners. Collaborating with executives to maintain budget and achieve company financial objectives. Running quality control as assigned to ensure standard operating procedures are in place. In turn, supporting the design and implementation of new SOP's and processes where there are gaps identified. Serves as the Operations Liaison for all Brand communication and brand initiatives. Collaborates with executives to establish regular meetings as appropriate and support brand standard and brand initiative pull through. Attends development pitch meetings for potential hotels and be prepared to discuss all aspects of the business as well as any specific talking points for the target hotel. Supports executive team with expense reports. Supports executives as assigned with accountability for all corporate and field deadlines. Develops and maintains strong relationships with all stakeholders, owners, hotel teams, corporate teams, and brand representatives. Works with the Corporate Digital Marketing Team to ensure the company website is current and optimized. Works with the Corporate Digital Marketing Team to ensure the company's social media platforms are current and optimized. Participates and stays current in the hospitality space to represent the company as a strong voice in the industry. Travels to hotel markets as needed for meetings, competitive set/market research, new hotel takeovers, transitions/conversions. Travels to the Corporate Office as requested for meetings, owner reviews, and strategy sessions. Represents the company by attending relevant industry conferences. Creates and fosters a creative, inclusive work environment. Consistently looks at ways to inspire and motivate Corporate and Field Based leaders and associates. Provides day-to-day leadership support to the Executive team based on team priorities. Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned. Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related degree required. EXPERIENCE A minimum fifteen (15) years of experience with a multi-property focus required. A minimum five (5) years of experience in lifestyle and full-service brands. SUPERVISORY RELATED EXPERIENCE A minimum ten (10) years of experience required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position spends the majority of the time (50% or more) achieving organization objectives, often through the coordinate achievements and collaboration of other team members. A majority of the time may be spent performing individual tasks while some duties are supervisory or organizational-goal related. Analyzes and resolves problems, determines work techniques, monitors for regulatory compliance, maintains production, interprets and creates policies, and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. Functions with independence and makes decisions on matters of significant importance. Manages human, financial, and/or physical resources; proactively assesses risk to establish systems and procedures to protect organizational assets. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Develops systems to support company policies and procedures in compliance with organizational goals and objectives. LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS Maintain and obtain any and all industry certifications to remain current and relevant in the industry. SKILLS & ABILITIES This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions, as well as, knowledge and use of correct business English and office practices. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers. Specific skills and abilities include, but are not limited to the following: Excellent industry reputation and a passion for hospitality. Must have strong and assertive leadership skills, able to adapt to various work styles and influence hotel leadership teams and ownership. Ability to work well under pressure and with a high sense of urgency. Must be extremely organized. Must possess professional communication skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence professionals. Advanced knowledge of hotel operations principles and practices. A strong business orientation, capable of and comfortable with operating in an environment which places high expectations on integrity and relationship building skills. Ability to investigate and analyze current activities or information in hotel operations; ability to make logical conclusions and recommendations. Able to see the bigger picture. Ability to make decisions based on established policies and procedures. Able to travel as needed for company, brand or industry related events. Strong work ethic with granular attention to detail. Proven success with hotel openings and transitions required. Knowledge contractual agreements and legal implications. Both select-service and full service branded experience required. Advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel. Proficiency with building presentations, written communication, and report writing. Advanced knowledge and experience with brand platforms. Understands how to develop and implement business strategies. Ability to interpret and create policies, procedures and manuals. Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes. Able to establish and maintain a cooperative working relation. Ability to interpret and create spreadsheets. Able to use sound judgment; work independently, with minimal supervision. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Performs well with frequent interruptions and/or distractions. Advanced math skills. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS 20% travel required. Remote/home office approved, but must be available for frequent travel, if necessary, to corporate office and hotel markets as needed.
