Hunton Services, a division of Hunton Group in Houston, TX ( www.huntongroup.com ), has a new and exciting opportunity for you to join our organization as a Building Automation System (BAS) Controls Field Supervisor. Selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily workload of the BAS team while serving as a technical expert to the team and training technicians on driving service pull-through work. Ideal candidate must have be able to install, diagnose and repair of environmental-comfort systems, while utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory, hydronic theory and modern control techniques. Come work for an industry leader that has been recognized both locally and nationally as one of Top Places to Work ! Responsibilities : Manage larger quoted jobs. Schedule subs for jobs. Perform engagement meetings with Technicians. Facilitate with agendas for Safety meetings. Conduct QC of jobsites and set schedules for each month. Audit PM inspection an average of once per week with technicians. Identify specific training opportunities for lesser skilled technicians. Audit and aid development of soft skills required for interacting with customers. Formalize onboarding for new hires. Audit costs and/or scope associated with low performing contracts. Meet with Service Manager once per week. Meet with the customer and related primary tech twice a month or as needed. Review problem jobs and poor performing contracts. Coordinate process improvement discussions. Obtain feedback from Technicians on concerns. Meet with Resource Coordinators once per week and review scheduling of critical jobs. Mentor technicians and provide on the job training as needed. Bill 50% of time monthly. Distribute important tech updates from Factory to Field. Assist Sales team on new business opportunities. Promote Safety culture. Become proficient in use of WennSoft. Learn basics of Service Financials. Participate in conducting annual reviews of Technicians. Survey large jobs prior to estimating. Assist in identifying / recruiting Technicians. Interacts with other teams and divisions to promote communication. Other duties may be assigned. Required Skills/Abilities : Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment. Ability to use power and hand tools. Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC system. Physical Requirements: Physically able to work on HVAC unit controls. Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year. Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time. Education and Experience : High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship required. Two years of related experience preferred. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
