Summary: The Night Auditor will oversee the audit, daily financial transactions and prepare for the next day. The Night Auditor will be the backbone of the hotel and perform their duties in a careful and conscientious manner. Essential Duties : Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required. Balancing the accounts from day shift. Creating invoices, bills and checks for vendors, employees and contractors. Managing front desk activity and handling guest check-ins and check-outs. Answering calls and queries related to potential booking. Ensuring customer satisfaction by scheduling wake-up-calls and other concierge activities according to guest preference. Handling customer requests and complaints and directing other employees or departments accordingly. Push the boundaries in customer service to anticipate and exceed guest expectations. Must have flexible work availability to include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. Attend work on time as schedules and adhere to attendance policy. Overcome objections with a positive attitude. Quickly respond to a guest's needs at any hour. Accurately and efficiently input information into an online database. Work closely with all hotel departments. Must wear and maintain proper uniform at all times. Per our culture, you should provide a level of Platinum Service to each and every guest. Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and Team Building skills. Desire to learn and grow, regardless of the phase of your career you happen to be in. To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to perform computer-based tasks such as data entry, accounting, word processing, invoicing and billing. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work shifts over weekends and on public holidays as needed.
