Monument Chemical Job Description Position Title: Process Control/DCS Engineer Job Status: Full Time Reports To: (position) Operations Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Department: Engineering Work Schedule: Day Description This role has the key responsibility for managing our Honeywell Experion PKS control system, Rockwell PlantPAX control system, Honeywell Safety Manager SC SIS, and other site process control equipment. Essential Functions / Key Accountabilities This role has the responsibility for the full upkeep, revision, and future upgrades of our Honeywell control system. This role has the responsibility for the full upkeep, revision, and future upgrades of our Rockwell PlantPAX control system. This role has the responsibility for the full upkeep, revision, and future upgrades of our Honeywell Safety system. This role works with all site project engineers to prepare for control system modifications needed for system changes at both sites. This role works with Operations to provide full-service to needs of two Monument Chemical facilities for control and data requirements. This role works with Maintenance and specifically the Instrument Department to maintain best use of our equipment. This role provides first-line response to problem resolution requests from Operations for Honeywell and Rockwell/ Controls issues at two plants. Education A degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering is required for this role. Experience / Required Skills The ability to learn and implement the skills required for Honeywell Experion PKS operation, programming, and maintenance is required. The ability to learn and implement the skills required for Rockwell PlantPAX operation, programming, and maintenance is required. The ability to learn and implement the skills required for Honeywell Safety Manager SC operation, programming, and maintenance is required. Certifications / Licenses List any required and preferred certifications/licenses TUV certification Physical Demands This position requires periodic outdoor field work for planning designs or monitoring the progress of projects. This may include climbing stairs/ladders and safely entering process equipment for inspections.
