We are currently seeking a Full-Time Assistant Production Manager to support our efforts, understanding that change is the foundation of all improvements. You will be joining a team built on change, empowerment, and collaboration and will work as a unit to produce the highest quality product in a timely fashion. The Position: The Assistant Production Manager will ensure that the Gasket Shop department runs smoothly by managing daily workflows and procedures in the department while also ensuring that there are quality controls in place. This position provides skill training for current employees and assists the sales department and office personnel in order to process manufactured goods in a timely manner. This position will also be responsible for examining Eagle Gasket products to ensure that all products meet company standards, customer specifications, and are packaged correctly. Position Responsibilities: Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel. Conduct or arrange for machine or tooling repair or maintenance. Inspect and monitor work areas as well as examine tools and equipment to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules. Analyze operations to evaluate performance of the company or its staff in meeting KPI objectives or to determine cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change. Inspect, test, or measure materials or products for conformance using measuring instruments. Discard or reject products or materials not meeting specifications. Confer with personnel, management, quality control, and customers, to coordinate orders, or identify and review resource needs. Use drafting/drawing software like Mastercam/Solid works/CAD to create and convert third party drawings into manufacturable parts for the flash cutters. Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions. Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts, and ensure that all materials are utilized. Perform all other duties as assigned and serve as a substitute for other roles within the department when needed. Qualifications: 5 years of experience and/or training in the manufacturing environment required. 2-4 years of experience in quality control or product inspection required. Experience with or training in Solidworks or CAD Software highly preferred. OSHA 10 Training and Forklift Operator License are required but may be obtained upon offer of employment. ISO/NCR/CERT training preferred.
