POSITION DESCRIPTION: At the City of Richmond, we honor our history and maintain an open mind to new ideas and ways of maintaining and improving our service levels. The City is looking for employees who are committed to public service and possess a willingness to be challenged. The Wastewater Treatment Department is recruiting for "Wastewater Operator I/I. " SUMMARY OF DUTIES: With the direction of the Utility Superintendent and Chief Operator. Responsible for assisting in the complete operations of the wastewater treatment facilities in a manner that ensures safe and properly treated wastewater in accordance with standards, legal requirements, and City policy. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Formal Education: § High school diploma or GED. Relatable Work Experience: § 2 years of utility or plumbing experience preferred. Training (License and/or Certification): § Required to have a Class "C" Texas Driver's License. § Valid Class "C" Wastewater Treatment Operations Certification through TCEQ or ability to obtain within 2 years.
