JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Registered Nurse - Patient Care Unit RN - PCU Full-Time Registered Nurse candidates for the Patient Care Unit will have the following job responsibilities: Applies the nursing process to a group of patients. Evaluates outcomes of patient care, consults with other disciplines as required and adjusts the plan of care as necessary to ensure optimal service. Ensure appropriate delivery of patient care for a group of patients according to policy and procedure; assigns and/or delegates patient care assignments to licensed and non-licensed nursing staff, based on acuity, needs of the patient, staff availability and qualifications. Participates and facilitates in the case management process and cost containment for patients. Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations with collaborative integration of the health care team. Demonstrates accountability for direct patient care and evaluation of patient outcomes JOB QUALIFICATIONS- Registered Nurse - Patient Care Unit RN - PCU Full-Time Registered Nurse candidates for the Patient Care Unit must meet the following minimum job qualifications: Candidate must have successfully completed an accredited RN program. Must have a minimum education of an Associates' Degreee. Must have RN license in the State of Texas, COMPACT nursing state, or have the ability to obtain one. Candidates with 1 or more years of experience working as an RN in an acute care hospital environment are preferred. Candidates with less than one year of experience will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. Must have BLS certification.
