Date Posted: 01/30/2024 Req ID: 35833 Faculty/Division: Vice-Provost, Students Department: University Registrar's Office Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto) Position Number: 00046748 Description: About us: As a member of the Financial Aid work group, the Financial Aid Coordinator assists in the administrative processes and procedures for Government funded financial aid programs, need based financial aid programsand the University of Toronto Assistance Plan (UTAPS). Your opportunity: The incumbent will work closely with the Associate Director of Financial Aid Services, Senior Financial Aid Specialists, Financial Services Student Accounts Supervisor, to clarify OSAP tuition refund and UTAPS payments, record tuition refunds to OSAP, administer OSAP withdrawal and Academic Progress reports, administer UTAPS error and pending reports, review tuition refund requests for OSAP students, and assists with the processing of OSAP and UTAPS applications by identifying and obtaining the necessary documents from applicants, communicating with applicants and the public, and maintaining reports on financial aid and UTAPS program recipients. The incumbent will also be responsible for documenting and keeping current all administrative processes and procedures relating to the coordination and maintenance of OSAP reports such as tuition refunds, OSAP withdrawals, academic progress and UTAPS program records. Under general supervision of the Associate Director of Financial Aid Services, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and updating of financial aid and UTAPS reassessment/refunds processing information, working with divisional representatives. Acts as a point of contact for general enquiries regarding UTAPS programs, clarification of OSAP payments, tuition refunds, withdrawals and academic progress in-person, or by email by generating routine email correspondence.
