Title: Experienced Infusion Nurse - Houston Area Location: Houston, Texas Job Description: We are seeking an experienced infusion nurse to join our team and provide exceptional care to patients in the Houston area. As an infusion nurse, you will be responsible for administering IVIG (Intravenous Immunoglobulin) infusions in a home setting. Familiarity with infusion pumps and the ability to ensure patient comfort and safety during the infusion process are essential for this role. Responsibilities: Administer IVIG infusions to patients in their homes Ensure accurate dosage and proper administration techniques Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatment Handle and maintain infusion pumps and equipment Provide patient education on self-care and medication management Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care Requirements: Valid nursing license in the state of Texas Minimum of 2 years of experience in infusion nursing, specifically with IVIG infusions in a home setting Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting infusion pumps Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and handle multiple patient cases Knowledge of Alayacare is a plus Compensation and Benefits: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications Comprehensive benefits package Mileage reimbursement for travel to patient homes Note: This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives and work in a dynamic healthcare environment.
