As the Technical Learning & Development Manager , you will focus on designing, developing, and/or sourcing training programs and materials to address new and existing employee education across all Rittal business units. Foster an environment of accountability when it comes to knowledge expectations of the Rittal employee. The role is based in Houston Texas. Primary Activities/Duties: The role is responsible for identifying and assessing product and system training needs. Developing and maintaining a system/process to assess the training needs of new and existing employees. Create curriculums and delivery method(s) in partnership with company subject matter experts . Partner with internal stakeholders and consult with experts regarding instructional design. Mapping of various roles and assigning correct course plan per company role. Search for gaps in in training content and material to generate higher productivity. Communicate with managers, training, and team members to ensure that all needs are met. Identify future training needs and create curriculum to facilitate training. Develop and maintain updated curriculum database and training records. Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs. Continually research methods and techniques in training and remain up to date on developments within our industry and competitors. Knowledge & Experience : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. Prefer a degree/experience in a technical field such as electrical/mechanical engineering, design, or application engineering. Currently have or willing to work toward training certification such as ASTD (American Society for Training and Development). Experience with e-learning platforms. MS Office proficiency. Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments. Technical background and knowledge of industrial automation products and/or electrical engineering preferred. Independent goal orientation and confident decision maker Strength to build teams and align them around a common vision. Resilience to challenges and ability to adapt to changing environments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written. Exceptional time management, diligence, and follow-up skills Builds bridges to other teams and always keeps in mind that he/she is a part of the team. Quick to recognize and act on opportunity and brings a sense of urgency to the customer space.
