Mechanic Helper

Position Title: Mechanic Helper Reports To: RTS Foreman I. Broad Function Assisting Mechanics to analyze and execute in house and field repairs and upgrades to customer’s machinery. II. Qualification Requirements A strong hands-on and good working knowledge of the disassembly and assembly of all types of rotating equipment . Minimum of Eight (8) years of machinery experience. A strong hands-on and working knowledge of machine and repair shop practices. Demonstrates the ability to work with close tolerance equipment including all types of inspection equipment. Must have the ability to achieve and meet the timely and cost effective methods of repair and assembly. Very good in documentation, damage analysis of rotating equipment. Define root cause of failures and the repair process to bring the equipment back to or exceed OEM requirements. Strong organized work ethic required to work with all involved with repair process from start to completion. Machinist experience required for resolution of equipment problems and recommended repairs. Requires strong mechanical problem solving skills. Proficient verbal and written communication skills (English). Capable of communicating and addressing customer concerns and meet schedule demands. Have experience and be willing to operate standard factory equipment. Ability to complete documentation and written reports, Very organized, good interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, “can do” attitude. Ability to understand and comply with regulations and processes set forth in the repair procedures of the Revak/Hoerbiger companies. Requires the ability to work equipment repairs from start to finish with minimal directions from supervision on technical or process procedures. Strengths include a very strong safety work ethic while maintaining a clean efficient work area. III. Principal Responsibilities Perform in shop mechanical repairs, upgrades and packaging of turbo-machinery . Including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, damage analysis, modification and assembly. Coordinate with Manager. Planner and QA/QC to ensure special repair requirements are met. Preparation and packaging of repaired equipment for safe shipments. Perform Field repairs of turbo-machinery with directions from field supervisor when required. Timely completion of expense reports and provide documentation for field service. Organize and maintain an efficient repair shop area. Document, Inspect, analyze and complete reports on equipment inspections and repairs. Work overtime, as required, to meet customer emergency breakdown demands. Travel, as required, to assist with field service or customer requirements. Willingness to learn and test for advancements based on abilities and ambitions presented by the employee. Maintain reports and records via. Revak standards. Perform and promote Revak safety standards within shop and field environments.
