Please see a detailed job description below. Apply today if you're interested. Job Description: The Cost Accountant will offer accounting support to a manufacturing operation in Bremen, GA. Please see below the duties associated with the role. * Ensure actual costs of Materials are up to date by completing monthly and as needed Cost Rolls. * Ensure accuracy of the Implemented Inventory system. * Complete monthly inventory costing reports * Ensure the Inventory Costing system calculating data is up to date. * Complete monthly Inventory negatives report and investigate for routing issues. * Complete Monthly Paint Analysis to record inventory purchases, usages, and ending inventory. * Complete Month Ending financials for COGS. * Complete Federal Census reports when required. * Other duties as assigned. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. * Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form. * Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes or similar application software. EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS Prefer candidates with the following education and experience or equivalent combination of education and experience: * Bachelor's degree (B. A. /B.S.) from four-year College or University with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or other related fields. * Two to Five years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination thereof is required.
