Field Maintenance and Installation Technician

When not traveling, they will be assigned to a local VEOLIA facility and work with the local maintenance teams. :Travel to job sites in and out of the region to perform field installs at customer sites. :Travel to assist in troubleshooting or needed repairs at customer sites, as requested.:Install new equipment or rearrange existing equipment.:Perform building and ground maintenance, when working at their home plant.:Practice good safety procedures in order to keep self and others injury free:Follow good housekeeping practices by keeping maintenance and tool storage areas neat and clean as well as timely cleanup of work areas after each job is completed.:Is available on call for emergency repairs as needed to keep plant and job sites in good running order.:Perform confined space entry in small tanks with 14x18 manways:Maintain records and reports as directed by immediate supervisor:Has experience running schedule 80 PVC pipe:Can expect to travel up to 6 months of the year, depending on the workload. QUALIFICATIONS :High School Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent to High School Diploma:Minimum of 1 year of PVC plumbing, OR mechanical repair and maintenance work experience or trainingELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: :Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity:Ability and willingness to work confined space entry:Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities:Ability and willingness to read documents and implement such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals:Ability and willingness for on call status for emergency response:Ability and willingness to travel for install and repair if needed:Ability and willingness to travel where needed. DESIRES :At least 1 year of repair and maintenance work experience.:Experience running Schedule 80 PVC pipe (2" to 8").:Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form and able to read a P and ID.:Trade school experience for plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly desired:Positive displacements pump repair experience.:Computer proficient:Ability to work independently with minimal supervision:Initiative:Problem solving skills:Reliable and thoroughWe offer competitive compensation and benefits working in a dynamic environment with challenging projects and training provided to ensure your success.
