In addition, employees are also entitled to participate in an employer sponsored 401(k) plan, to save for retirement. - Pay and benefits for employees represented by a union are outlined in their collective bargaining agreement.POSITION PURPOSE: -Provide operational and maintenance support throughout complex. -PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: -Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair. Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs. Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Performs routine maintenance on building systems. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. - Performs other related duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation / Experience / Background High School diploma or GED equivalent.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers. Knowledge of general carpentry and repair. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. The job can be physically demanding involving movement of heavy equipment and carrying materials up and down stairs. Candidates should be able to lift a 50-lb load. Must be able to walk a minimum of three miles per day. Must have high mechanical aptitude level. Must have ability to work from elevated surfaces; (ladders, platforms, lifts). Some experience with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC would be an advantage.
