Workover Engineer Sr

Specific Responsibilities The Workover Engineer Sr for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache's Drilling, Completion and Workover team at the company's Houston office reporting to the Completions and Workover Engineering Manager. Specific role will be a Workover Engineer focused on overseeing the P and A process for wells in the US. This role will be primarily responsible for the following: :Generate cost estimates and AFEs by GL codes associated with planned work scopes:Develop step:by:step procedures to achieve specified well objectives safely and efficiently:Procedures will incorporate engineering controls, provide guidance on well control equipment and practices, and complying with company safety regulations and standards:Provide Engineering support for multiple workover rigs including procedures, troubleshooting downhole tools, make recommendations during fishing operations:Recommend and develop processes and guidelines for well workover operations:Conduct historical well review to support procedural recommendations:Engage with other functions and asset leadership to manage process execution discrepancies and scope changes:Develop and monitor KPI reporting of the workoveroperations with respect to spend, delivery of planned objectives, and scheduling (planned vs actuals):Manage expenditures and performance relative to AFE'd budgets and communicate variances Qualifications and Experience The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience: :Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering discipline:Experience in Engineering with 5+ years E and P company experience in Production, Well Interventions, Operations, or Operations Support:Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience developing procedures to workover wells with artificial lift equipment including rod pump, ESP, or gaslift:Working knowledge of downhole tools and equipment:Experience developing Completion design and supervising frac or drillout operations a plus:Good verbal and written communication skills:Proficient with computer software: Microsoft Suite, Wellview, and Spotfire:Ability to work flexible work schedule, including long and/or irregular hours Competencies The successful candidate should demonstrate and exhibit the following core competencies: :Communication: Writes, speaks, and presents information effectively and persuasively across communication setting;:Results: Pursues work with energy, drive, and results orientation to positively impact Apaches business success;:Collaboration: Works in partnership with others and encourages different perspectives, while building and maintaining trust; and:Culture: Willingness and ability to align ones behavior with the needs, priorities, and goals of Apache.
