Practice Area: Immigration - General,Criminal Law - Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm is seeking a Post-Conviction Relief Attorney:Job Overview:The Post-Conviction Relief Attorney will handle post-conviction relief cases, advise clients on legal rights, and represent clients in various legal proceedings. The ideal candidate should have experience in criminal defense and immigration law, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be proficient in English and Spanish.Duties:Advise clients on their legal rights in matters and draft legal documents about their caseHandle post-conviction relief cases, including motions to vacate, expungements, motions to reduce, and early termination of probationAttend motion hearings on behalf of clients and provide post-hearing adviceManage open criminal cases, including arraignments, pre-trials, pleas, and sentencingManage court appearances, draft motions, interview clients, and conduct legal researchAnalyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedentsManage workload of cases and provide legal analysis to determine case benefitsCollaborate with fellow associates and assist in strategizing on casesRequirements:Experience with criminal defense or immigration lawExperience handling criminal cases at the state and local levelBilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferredExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to work as a team player and collaborate effectively with colleaguesEducation Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the California State BarSkills:Strong legal research and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple cases and prioritize workload effectivelyProficiency in drafting legal documents and motionsJob Location:Rancho Cucamonga, CABenefits:The firm offers benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, an excellent compensation package, paid parking, paid time off, and more.
