SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining the Overall Cleanliness and organization of the Travel Center . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class. Responsible for all general maintenance and repair of minor problems throughout the Travel Center (TC) as directed by the Travel Center Supervisor on duty. Responsible for cleanliness of shower facilities Unloading of inventory, product and supplies for TC Assists with Stocking and cleaning of shelves Power Washing of external areas Emptying of internal & external Trash Maintenance of fuel pumps and surrounding areas Respond and clean fuel spills Dispensing propane Ensure adherence to all OSHA regulations and internal safety policies and procedures. Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment as assigned. Supports other Maintenance Engineers as needed. Other duties as assigned. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Basic Maintenance experience preference. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Experienced in use of hand and power tools. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables. PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to lift, push and pull 25-50 lbs on a regular basis. While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The Employee frequently is required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
