The successful candidate will navigate all stages of the legal process, from pretrial hearings to courtroom appearances, focusing on delivering favorable outcomes for clients.Duties:Advise clients on their rights and draw up relevant legal documents about their cases.Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide strategic advice following each hearing.Managed court appearances and trials, draft motions, interview witnesses, and conduct legal research.Analyze potential case outcomes based on knowledge of legal precedents.Effectively manage a workload of cases, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.Provide legal analysis to clients, identifying potential case benefits.Gather additional evidence to support clients' cases or counter prosecution charges.Prepare clients for depositions, strategize to achieve case goals, and gather information from key witnesses and experts.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of experience in Criminal Defense.Experience handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate and strategize with fellow associates.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.Education Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the California State Bar.Skills:Legal research and analysis.Case management and organization.Oral and written communication.Negotiation and advocacy.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Location: San Joaquin, CABenefits: The firm offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, competitive compensation, paid parking, paid time off, and additional benefits.
