Job Title: Proposal Writer Job Description: The Proposal Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs) and/or other opportunities. The proposal writer’s responsibilities include gathering information, formatting the information according to the scope of work, and submitting proposals to the appropriate source. Job Duties: Develop, write, edit, and produce responses to Solicitations, SOQs, RFQs, RFPs, and ITBs. Research, technical content, graphics, page layout, and design. Organize information in a professional and credible manner. Create strategic and persuasive content to support project. Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and present it in a clear and compelling way. Translate technical and other ideas into understandable text. Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval and contributing proposal status information during review meetings. Source and support bid opportunities for new business and government contracts. Attend pre-proposal meetings and debriefings as needed. Assist with other business development/marketing functions, as necessary. Maintaining consistency in proposal writing by following company policies. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, or related field. Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills Understanding of the Federal market and government proposals Strong writing and research skills and great attention to detail Strong strategic planning abilities Excellent time management and prioritization skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
