The Opportunity We have an opening for a collaborative, driven and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Project Manager . When the APM provides accurate and detailed updates in a timely fashion, he/she provides the foundation for the multifamily p rojects . The Assistant Project Manage r/ Superintenden t will direct and assist with management of assigned projects while following organizational policies, programs, budget, and schedules to accomplish goals and objectives. This position also directs assigned projects with adherence to planning, execution, monitoring, and closing within standard project management methodology . You will take direction from the Senior Project Manager and/or Project Manager, who will overse e the project to which you are assigned . You will e nsure no additiona l noncontract work is performed without a signed c hange orde r . , and inspect the work on site to comply with d rawings and s pecification . Perform q uality control, looking for continuous improvement by w ork ing with subcontractors to schedule and oversee progress of wor k . You will encourage subcontractors to complete their work quickly and according to specifications and ensure that subcontractors comply wit h all OSHA and/or Cal OSHA and safety standards . You will verify completed work by subcontractors. submitting invoices, then schedule and track completed work at assigned project with Microsoft Project, communicating with site management as to work progress and notices. Work with suppliers to order needed supplies using purchase order numbers and follow-up on materials ordered by PGCC or subcontractor s . Education: · High school degree or equivalent; a ssociate 's degree preferred. Experience and Skills: · A minimum of three (3) years skills in related work, construction Industry · Computer skills (Scheduling Programs, Microsoft) · Demonstrated ability to solve problem s · Excellent organizational skills; detailed oriented · Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines · Able to manage and coordinate multiple tasks and projects accurately .
