As Director of Special Projects, you will take on a wide range of responsibilities to support the Chief Executive Officer and the Wavesight organization as a whole. The Director of Special Projects is responsible for supporting and improving the CEO's effectiveness through Executive Presentations, strategic planning, project management and coordination of executive decisions and action items. This position is a critical partner in defining and managing the cadence of business as well as coordinating and connecting teams and work streams to ensure the business is moving quickly and in the right direction. This role serves as a coordinator for executive business analysis, presentation, and special projects, working with a vast array of stakeholders on both the strategic vision and project execution.Working Schedule The preferred candidate for this position should be located in the Greater Houston area and open to work a hybrid schedule with three (3) days in the ABS Headquarters Office located in Spring, Texas, and two (2) days of remote work. What You Will Do: * Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team to develop, refine, and execute strategic plans and initiatives that drive the company's growth and success. * Help CEO identify priorities, and strategically align their time with those priorities. * Act as a key thought partner, brainstorming and identifying solutions to challenges. * Provide high-level support to the CEO, including preparing briefing / board materials, reports, memos, conducting research, and coordinating meetings and communications with internal and external stakeholders. * Lead and oversee key projects, programs, and initiatives from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and resources. * Plan, organize, and run meetings with internal and external stakeholders and own follow-up action items. * Establish and maintain systems for tracking and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular updates and insights to the CEO and executive team. Stay informed about industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments, providing strategic insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team. Provide weekly Reports, Scorecards, and Dashboards to the CEO. * Support ad-hoc projects. What You Will Need: Education and Experience * Minimum ten (10) years' experience in technology operations consulting / strategy / stakeholder and project management or related experience; some high-growth operations or startup experience is strongly preferred. * Bachelor's degree required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Experience in organizing and supporting multiple teams. * Experience in planning and leading complex strategic initiatives. * Experience in Program Management and/or Business Operations. * Organized, detail-oriented, strategic, and process driven. * Strong interpersonal skills: ability to communicate, present, influence, and explain across multiple cross-functional stakeholders and management levels. * Ability to define metrics for success and track KPIs towards those metrics. * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. * Self-starter who loves to own things from start to completion. You make things happen and don't need to ask for permission first. * Ability to influence at all levels in the organization. * Ability to effectively adjust in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. * Ability to make timely, effective, and principled decisions. * Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers (i.e., all levels of personnel) in an effective and professional manner. * Proven ability to lead peer employees to accomplish various tasks within specified time requirements. * Strong organizational skills, ability to work within a team environment, results oriented. * Should possess a high level of integrity and confidentiality. * Strong commitment to the tasks assigned and willing to work under pressure * Ability to develop a working knowledge of ABS Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and related instructions, as well as the ABS Employee Safety Policy.
