Description:
Deepsea seeks Design Engineer in Houston, TX to design equipment for use in offshore / subsea oil & gas field development projects; perform structural & mechanical analysis of systems, linear and non-linear Finite Element Analysis etc.; conduct material selection and specification; research & analyze customized design proposals; test the design, performance & operation of equipment; apply knowledge of designing pipeline & riser equipment, materials and corrosion, FEA, ANSYS and MathCAD software to design/analyze subsea equipment/tools etc.; interface with project engineers and prepare detail design reports & manufacturing detail drawings; prepare test procedures etc. among others. Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Subsea Engineering OR in the alternative Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field and two (2) years relevant work experience in subsea engineering required.
