Traffic Engineering Analyst

Description:
We seek an experienced Traffic Engineering Analyst to contribute to developing cutting-edge traffic design services throughout the Houston area. You will employ established methods, procedures, and standards to execute routine engineering tasks under supervision. Responsibilities: Conducts analyses of traffic and transportation systems, traffic impact studies, and corridor research. Supports professional engineering staff in creating traffic and roadway plans and designs. Utilizes prescribed methods to accomplish specific segments of larger projects. Performs preliminary analyses on various technical assignments. Assesses data to aid in developing solutions for transportation challenges. Carries out additional tasks as assigned. Required Qualifications: Degree in civil engineering, planning, or a related discipline. EIT certification or PE 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering roles similar to those outlined above, with special emphasis on Traffic Impact Analysis, corridor mobility and long-term improvement analysis, and signal/electrical design. Proficiency with engineering software, programs, and methodologies relevant to the tasks described. Experience with modeling software such as SYNCHRO, CORSIM, and VISSIM. Proficiency in CADD software, particularly Microstation. Familiarity with transportation manuals and guidelines.
